We don’t understand so much this thing with the will of the father, the old folk, the dotard… How many of our fathers had good will towards us…?
And yet, is the Father such as this?
Isn’t it better to do what we already know – we are already grown, don’t we?
Matthew 7:21 (NKJV)
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
To do the will of your father has nothing to do with age, stature or any other measure. Jesus was 12 years old when he was found in the temple and… He was seeking the will of His Father though the parents responsible for Him did not sent him there themselves. (And, may be, they should?)
Because the five-fold gifts have a very strong calling, sometimes they miss the most important thing – and that is namely – the will of the father.
Restraint is a sweet fruit just like the quickness of obedience. There’s sweetness about seeing how the Spirit moves in a congregation which has 10 prophets, but only three of them prophesy – the rest judge. It is sweet because you know that everyone of them has the potential to stand up and deliver the heart of God for God’s people but they do only what their Father does. E.g. they would stand only if they saw that this is a unique move for them in just that moment.
Some time ago I realized a solemn truth. We’ve created so many false or rather not well considered doctrines out of just a few bible verses.
Matthew 9:37 (NKJV)
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
His workers are not few. But few of them… qualify as laborers.
You know this, don’t you – about this certificate of proficiency they’ll give you for some kind of job.
I’m asking you today – do you have a certificate for being a laborer of the harvest?
Prophets may prophesy and yet might not be laborers of the harvest, apostles may build churches, but with them they might not build the kingdom of Heaven but their own one…
HERE’S THE CERTIFICATE:
I DO WHAT I SEE IN PRAYER THAT MY FATHER IS DOING.
